General Electric, Cisco, Boeing and Accenture contributed to a $17.2m round for the AR technology developer that will fund hiring and product development.

US-based augmented reality (AR) software developer Upskill has raised $17.2m from investors including aerospace manufacturer Boeing, industrial manufacturing conglomerate General Electric, networking equipment producer Cisco and professional services firm Accenture.

The round also included venture capital firm New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and undisclosed other investors. Cisco, Boeing and General Electric participated through their respective corporate venturing units: Cisco Investments, HorizonX and GE Ventures.
