Chandigarh Angels Network has signed a memorandum of understanding to offer the Indian university's innovators early-stage funding and expertise.
Shoolini University joined forces with India-based syndicate Chandigarh Angels Network (CAN) yesterday in a bid to foster its entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The memorandum of understanding gives Shoolini University spinouts access to mentoring and angel funding to help build out their business models.
Founded in 2015, CAN typically invests anywhere between INR1m and INR20m ($13,700 and $270,000).
Kunal Nandwani, co-founder of the syndicate, has launched a book entitled Sociopreneuer together with the partnership to explore the role of social impact startups.
Nandwani added: “Shoolini University’s young energetic students chasing their entrepreneurial dreams can facilitate CAN’s search for investable startups.
“CAN shall help Shoolini expand their startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem from the organisation’s angel members mentorships, regular events, and eventually funding.”
