Hunt returns to the UK university where he first held a director of research and innovation services role between 2014 and 2018.
Jon Hunt will take on a newly created role as director of strategic partnerships and innovation in September at the University of Bath in the UK.
Hunt comes from the University of Bristol where he has been executive director of research, enterprise and innovation since 2019. At Bristol, he led a £225m ($292m) investment from the UK government for Isambard AI, touted to be the UK’s fastest supercomputer when it is built.
Hunt was the director of research and innovation services at the University of Bath between 2014 and 2018.
He is on the board of SETsquared, a business incubation network run by six UK universities.
