Existing shareholder Suez Group has acquired Imperial College spinout Inflowmatix, providing exits to IP Group and Parkwalk Advisors.

Inflowmatix, a UK-based Imperial College London spinout focused on water flow analytics services for utilities, has been acquired by water and waste treatment firm Suez Group for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2015, Inflowmatix has developed high-frequency pressure monitoring and data analytics platform that allows water utilities to gain near real-time insights into their networks. Its technology has been deployed by Suez in several products.
The spinout most recently secured $3.4m from Suez Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of Suez Group, in 2019. This followed an undisclosed amount supplied by Parkwalk Advisors in 2018.
Parkwalk had already invested as part of a $4.3m series A round in 2016 together with Imperial Innovations, since acquired by IP Group. The latter had injected $1.5m in capital in 2015.
Alun Williams, investment director at Parkwalk, said: “This deal is an excellent example of how value can be created out of commercialising university intellectual property.
“I am convinced that this partnership with Suez will drive continued success.”
Kelsey Lynn Skinner, partner at IP Group, added: “This is a world-class innovative team driving change in a key industry, and we welcome this next chapter – to global scale.”
