Free-roam VR experience technology company Holodeck VR has been backed by ProSiebenSat.1 Media, raising the prospect of business development collaborations with the corporate's television networks.
Holodeck VR, a Germany-based high-definition virtual reality (VR) headset creator spun out of Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS), obtained an unspecified amount of funding on Monday from mass media group ProSiebenSat.1 Media.
Founded in 2017, Holodeck VR is working on VR goggles that rely on sensor fusion and optical tracking technology to display expansive worlds for the player to roam through regardless of whether they are playing from a large physical space.
