Ana Torres has joined Visa Ventures, the corporate VC arm of Visa, as an investor.
Torres was previously cofounder and partner at innovation consulting firm Xploration Partners for over six and a half years where she supported clients in designing and setting up venture arms and acted as an extension of their teams for startup scouting and due diligence.
Torres also spent the last two years as associate director of the Strauch Cleantech to Market (C2M) programme at the Energy Institute at the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. C2M connects cutting-edge climate tech startups with teams of UC Berkeley graduate students to help accelerate commercialisation through deep analysis of market opportunities, scale-up strategies and pathways to impact.
Founded in 2011, Visa Ventures invests predominantly in early-stage startups in the innovative payments, fintech, generative artificial intelligence and technology sectors.
