UK-based Sheffield spin-out aims for nationwide expansion following equity deal with Finance Yorkshire.
Environmental consultancy firm Ecus, a spin-out from the University of Sheffield, has signed an equity deal for an undisclosed sum with small-to-medium enterprise investor Finance Yorkshire.
Ecus plans to use the new funds to expand its operation across the rest of the UK through the creation of five new regional offices and also expanding its headcount. Currently, the Sheffield-based firm employs 20 people.
