MIT Media Lab-affiliated E14 Fund has invested in the biomanufacturing software provider as part of a series A round led by Cultivian Sandbox Ventures.

US-based biomanufacturing technology developer Culture Biosciences secured $15m on Wednesday in a series A round that included the MIT Media Lab-affiliated E14 Fund.
Verily Life Sciences, the life sciences innovation arm of internet and technology group Alphabet, also took part in the round, which was led by VC firm Cultivian Sandbox Ventures.
Incubator and investment firm The Production Board, healthcare technology fund Section 32 and accelerator operator Y Combinator filled out the round.
