Judith Cone, the university’s vice-chancellor for innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development, has announced her intention to retire next month.

Judith Cone, vice-chancellor for innovation, entrepreneurship and economic development at University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill, will retire next month.
Cone has been with the institution for 11 years and had let the leadership know her intention to step down last year. Michelle Bolas, associate vice-chancellor, will take on additional duties currently within Cone’s remit while the university launches a search for a permanent successor.
