Founded from University of Surrey's Space Centre, iKinema was bought by Apple in a move seemingly aligned with the corporate's foray into virtual and augmented reality.

iKinema, a UK-based motion capture development tool spinout of University of Surrey, has been acquired by technology firm Apple for an undisclosed sum, Business Insider reported on Friday.
The deal has not been officially announced but was seemingly confirmed by a regulatory filing updating iKinema’s registered office to that of Apple’s UK headquarters.
