Unacademy has acquired a majority stake in the professional networking platform, providing an exit for Paytm.

TapChief, an India-based professional networking platform backed by payment services provider Paytm, has been acquired by online education platform developer Unacademy for an undisclosed amount, the Economic Times reported yesterday.

The transaction valued TapChief at around INR1bn ($13.7m).

Founded in 2016, TapChief has developed an online networking platform that enables businesses to hire industry talent on a short-term basis.
