Existing backer Experian Ventures was among the investors as the text message-based financial education provider raised $12.6m.

US-based financial education app developer Stackin’ secured $12.6m yesterday in a series B round that included Experian Ventures, credit scoring services provider Experian’s strategic investment arm.

Venture capital firm Octopus Ventures led the round, which also featured Cherry Tree Investments, Dig Ventures, Mucker Capital, Unlock Venture Partners, TechStars and Wavemaker Partners.

Stackin’ has created a text message-based platform that assists users with saving, managing and investing their money.
