Comcast returned for the family-focused ride sharing company's series A round, bringing its total funding to $12.2m as it prepares to expand from San Francisco.
US-based ride sharing service Shuddle raised $9.6m yesterday in a series A round featuring Comcast Ventures, the corporate venturing affiliate of cable and telecommunications company Comcast.
The round was led by venture capital firm RRE Ventures, with participation from Forerunner Ventures, Accel Partners and unnamed angel investors.
Founded in 2014, Shuddle has raised over $12m to date, including a $2.6m seed round from Comcast Ventures, Forerunner and Accel in October last year, when it launched its service in San Francisco.
