After five years at Salesforce, the former head of Salesforce Ventures Japan has departed to become a co-founder of a new venture capital firm.

Shinji Asada moved on from his position as head of Salesforce Ventures Japan, a corporate venture capital (CVC) subsidiary of US-listed enterprise software producer Salesforce, last month to co-found venture firm One Capital.

The recipient of a GCV Emerging Leaders award in 2020, Asada’s role at Salesforce had involved sourcing new deals, conducting due diligence and providing thought leadership in portfolio companies’ board meetings.
