Razer to head up $5m virtual reality fund

The fund, deployed through the OSVR initiative, will provide funding support to VR content developers.

Open-Source Virtual Reality (OSVR), the virtual reality technology consortium headed by gaming product manufacturer Razer, launched a $5m fund on Monday that will provide funding to virtual reality gaming studios.

Razer will lead the fund but expects to harness support from other companies in the industry. OSVR is an ecosystem co-founded and run by Razer that aims to develop VR content through a cohesive platform.
