Alongside NTT in Shift's round are financial services conglomerate Mitsui and venture capital firm DFJ JAIC.

Shift, a Japan-based software testing service company, has raised Y472m ($6m) from a consortium including NTT Investment Partners, a corporate venturing unit of local phone operator Nippon Telegraph & Telephone.
