Wistron is set to exit Advanced Telematic Systems as mapping company Here has agreed to acquire it for an undisclosed sum.
Location services provider Here Technologies has agreed to acquire Advanced Telematic Systems (ATS), a Germany-based developer of over-the-air (OTA) technology, enabling original design manufacturer Wistron to exit.
Financial terms have not been disclosed but the deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2018. A Here spokesperson told TechCrunch that the deal will make the company a major player in the OTA sector.
