Workday Ventures and existing investor Gradient Ventures both backed a round that took the data onboarding platform developer's total funding to about $45m.

US-based data onboarding software provider Flatfile secured $35 million yesterday in a series A round featuring enterprise software producer Workday and internet technology provider Google.

Venture capital firm Scale Venture Partners led the round, which included Afore Capital and Two Sigma Ventures. Workday took part through its Workday Ventures subsidiary while Google invested through artificial intelligence fund Gradient Ventures.
