Intel Capital exited the spatial sound technology developer through an acquisition by Google in December last year.

Semiconductor and data technology provider Intel has exited US-based 3D audio system developer Dysonics in an acquisition of undisclosed size by internet technology provider Google in December 2020, Protocol has reported.

Dysonics has developed spatial sound technology that would facilitate the recreation of three-dimensional surround sound through headphones. It was spun out of University of California, Davis’s Technology Incubator in 2012.
