Digicel strikes it with Flint Mobile

Jamaican mobile telecoms company Digicel leads $6m funding for mobile payments app developer Flint Mobile.

Flint Mobile, a US-based technology startup which has developed a camera-based payments app for mobile businesses, has raised $6m funding led by Jamaica-based mobile telecommunications network service company Digicel and venture capital firm SVG Ventures; previous investors Storm Ventures and True Ventures also participated as follow-on to their April 2012 investment.
