Video downloading services provider Xunlei co-led the virtual reality technology provider's series B round, closed at a $122m valuation.

DeePoon, a China-based virtual reality (VR) headset and content developer, has raised $30m in a series B round co-led by downloading software provider Xunlei, Technode reported on Saturday.

The round, which Xunlei co-led with Kaiying Network Technology, valued DeePoon at approximately RMB800m ($122m).

Founded in April 2015 with a seed investment from digital marketing company Hollysh totalling “several dozen million RMB,” DeePoon produces head-mounted VR devices compatible with PCs and mobile platforms.
