The surgical robot developer has raised $10.1m to continue development, from investors including Toray Group and SBI Holdings.
Japan-based medical robot developer Riverfield has secured ¥1.2bn ($10.1m) in a series B round led by Toray Engineering, a subsidiary of industrial products conglomerate Toray Group, Nikkei Asian Review has reported.
SBI Investment, a subsidiary of financial services firm SBI Holdings, also participated in the round alongside investment firm Jafco and venture capital firm Beyond Next Ventures.
