US-based mobile threat defence provider Zimperium closed a $25m series C round yesterday that featured Telstra Ventures, the corporate venturing division of telecoms firm Telstra.

The round was led by private equity firm Warburg Pincus and also included VC firm Sierra Ventures and investment management firm Lazarus Israel Opportunities Fund.

Telstra Ventures previously led a $12m series B round in February 2015 that featured engineering company Toyo Corporation and consumer electronics conglomerate Samsung as well as Sierra and Lazarus.…
