The investment firm has taken a majority stake in the sales communication platform developer, which had raised over $100m from investors including HubSpot.

Investment firm Vista Equity Partners has paid an undisclosed amount for a majority stake in Drift, a US-based conversational commerce software developer backed by enterprise software producer HubSpot, it revealed today.

Drift’s software platform combines conversational sales and marketing tools and integrates artificial intelligence technology with chat, email and video capabilities to help facilitate communication between sellers and buyers.
