The Saudi Aramco unit has hired Sean Lee after adding fellow corporate venturers Daisy Garcia and Abhishek Shukla to the team in recent weeks.

Sean Sang Sub Lee has joined Prosperity7 Ventures, the $1bn venture capital and growth equity vehicle formed by Saudi Arabia-based petroleum and natural gas conglomerate Saudi Aramco, as an investment principal. Sean Lee “Our investments range from enterprise – business-to-business, software-as-a-service, artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), cybersecurity and infrastructure – fintech, blockchain, industrial technologies to much more,” Lee said in a LinkedIn post. Lee had worked for nearly five years at Wells Fargo Strategic Capital (WFSC), a strategic investment subsidiary of financial services firm Wells Fargo, where he focused on enterprise software deals including data management and analytics, cybersecurity, AI/ML and cloud technologies. His investments at WFSC included blockchain technology developer Axoni, private securities marketplace Forge Global and Simon, a wealth management technology developer spun off by investment bank Goldman Sachs. Last month, Prosperity7 Ventures hired associate Daisy Garcia, formerlya senior investment analyst at JetBlue Technology Ventures, and enterprise and deeptech investment lead Abhishek Shukla, who had been senior managing director and head of venture investing at Hewlett Packard Pathfinder.
