Customer engagement management technology provider Plaid has become the major shareholder of a portfolio company that runs a similar service.

Plaid, the operator of customer satisfaction measurement product Karte, has paid an undisclosed sum to acquire a 64% stake in Emotion Tech, which is another Japan-based provider of a similar service.

Founded in 2013 as Wizpra, Emotion Tech operates a customer experience management tool dubbed Emotion Tech CX and EmotionTech EX, a similar service focused on employees.
