Suguru Yamaryo is the new CEO and president at Itochu Technology Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Japan-based trading corporation Itochu.
Yamaryo has been a part of Itochu since 2000. He was the project manager for US VC capital investments for 12 years. He set up Itochu’s Silicon Valley office, where he managed direct investment, VC investment and business development.
Itochu Technology Ventures invests in Japanese early-stage startups focusing on IT and internet services. The company has 58 companies in its portfolio and has invested in close to 200 startups such as Yoii Fuel, Thinkcyte and AnyCarry.
