Michael Buzzo will now serve as the head of ventures at BHP Ventures, the corporate venture arm of the Australian mining company.
Michael Buzzo has become the head BHP Ventures, the corporate venture arm of Australia-based mining company BHP.
Buzzo was the acting head of BHP Ventures for more than a year.
Before joining BHP, Buzzo was a manager of transaction services at KPMG Australia, a subsidiary of professional services network KPMG. He also spent five years as a senior analyst at Deloitte Australia.
Founded in 2018, BHP Ventures has 16 companies in its portfolio and has invested in 22 startups including Ceibo, Plotlogic and KoBold Metals.
