After three years of VC investor Heliad, Buchsbaum turns his sights to supporting early stage startups in the DACH region.

Leonard Buchsbaum joined Vent.io, the corporate VC unit of German asset and equipment leasing company Deutsche Leasing Gruppe, as investment manager
The move follows a three-year stint at investment firm Heliad, where he was investment analyst then investment associate.
Vent.io backs B2B startups in late-seed and series A stages across the German-peaking DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Sectors it invests in include mobility, sustainability, automation and digitisation. The team invests up to €750,000 ($777,000) per round, focusing on specific areas such as logistics, construction, manufacturing, AI and data processing.
Its portfolio includes startups like freight rental marketplace provider Colonia, automation technology provider Unchained Robotics, energy management technology developer Rabot Energy and data analytics for machines developer Enlyze.
