Holger Wagner is a senior investment manager and Inga Müller is a senior operations manager at EnBW New Ventures, the corporate venturing arm of Germany-based energy utility EnBW Energie Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Wagner has more than two decades of experience in the internet and telecommunications industry and holds several management positions.
Before EnBW New Ventures, Wagner was a senior investment manager at T-Venture, the corporate venturing arm of telecommunications firm Deutsche Telekom later known as Deutsche Telekom Strategic Investments, for nearly seven years from 2009.
He invested in Lantiq, a semiconductor manufacturer eventually acquired by chipmaker Intel; ChooChee, a cloud-based unified communications software producer acquired by Deutsche Telekom; FutureE Fuel Cell Solutions, a clean technology developer acquired by energy efficiency and storage company Heliocentris; and Zenmate, an encryption software startup acquired by cybersecurity firm Kape Technologies.
Müller, on the other hand, joined EnBW New Ventures in 2016 as an investment manager at EnBW New Ventures. She came from IAM Consulting, where she had held an interim manager position since December 2015. Prior to that, she held various positions at concentrated solar power technology producer Novatec Solar, including a head of finance role.
According to its website, EnBW New Ventures’ portfolio consists of two dozen companies including solar power leasing company DZ-4 and Lumenaza, a developer of energy control technology for utilities.
3D printing software provider 3YourMind, call centre automation platform BabelForce, car parking technology developer Cleverciti and smart meter software developer Greenbird are among the unit’s portfolio companies, as are cloud infrastructure management software provider GridScale, augmented reality technology developer Holo-Light, IT infrastructure optimisation startup Replex, superconductor manufacturer Theva and artificial intelligence-infused road maintenance provider ViaLytics.
EnBW New Ventures has also made a limited partner commitment to investment firm ETF Partners.
