Course has resigned as digital innovation program manager at Shell Ventures.

Andrea Course has left her role as digital innovation programme manager at Shell Ventures, the corporate VC arm of multinational oil and gas company Shell.

Course joined Shell Ventures as a venture principal where she focused on generating leads for investment opportunities in robotics, AI and machine learning. She was promoted to the role of digital innovation programme manager in 2023.

Before Shell, Course spent 13 years working for oilfield services company Schlumberger in various technical roles. Her work led her to interact with various startups in the sector, which piqued her interest and ensured her eventual move into Schlumberger’s CVC unit.

“Serving on the boards of our portfolio companies has been an incredible experience, and I will truly miss being part of their journeys,” she said in a LinkedIn post announcing her move.

Course has not disclosed her next move.
