HubSpot has exited the marketing platform developer in an acquisition by Attentive that follows some $8m of funding.

US-headquartered e-commerce marketing software developer Privy has been acquired by message-based marketing technology provider Attentive for an undisclosed sum, marking an exit for marketing software producer HubSpot.

Founded in 2011, Privy provides e-commerce and email marketing software for use by small businesses. It will operate as a standalone division within Attentive following the deal.
