The veteran of the Japanese semiconductor and display equipment company is leaving the CVC unit he restarted in 2011.

Kay Enjoji, president of Tel Venture Capital, the corporate venturing arm of Japanese electronics and semiconductor company Tokyo Electron, is stepping down as head of the investment unit.

Enjoji has led the CVC since 2011. He is a longtime veteran of the Japanese electronics company, having worked there for 36 years. The corporation is known as a supplier of equipment to fabricate integrated circuits and flat panel displays.

The Silicon Valley-headquartered corporate venture unit invests in startups that make ultra-small and real-time sensors. It has 49 companies in its portfolio.
