SparkCognition has raised $6m in a round backed by CME Ventures and Verizon Ventures, a few months after winning at 2015's Nokia Open Innovation Challenge.

US-based security analytics technology developer SparkCognition has closed a $6m series B round that included futures company CME Group and telecommunications network Verizon.

The corporates, which invested through their respective corporate venturing subsidiaries CME Ventures and Verizon Ventures, were joined in the oversubscribed round by The Entrepreneurs’ Fund (TEF) and Alameda Ventures.
