Embrane, a provider of app-centric network services, has now raised $41m in total, after Cisco and Sumitomo subsidiary Presidio Ventures both invested in its series C.

US-based network services provider Embrane has secured $14m in a series C round led by computing company Cisco.

Presidio Ventures, the US-based corporate venturing subsidiary of Japan-based conglomerate Sumitomo, also participated in the round, as did existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, New Enterprise Associates and North Bridge Venture Partners. Embrane has now raised $41m in total funding since it was founded in 2009.
