Nasdaq-listed equipment maker Cisco Systems has agreed to acquire Inlet Technologies, a US-based provider of digital media processing platforms for $95m in cash and retention-based incentives.

Inlet had raised more than $20m from Capitol Broadcasting Company, a communications group, and venture capital firms Core Capital Partners, Technology Venture Partners and Telecommunications Development Fund, according to news provider Fortune.
