Corporate venturing units were involved in more than 65 deals last month ahead of an expected slowdown over the summer.

 This was nearly a third more than in May.

Technology deals led a busy month for corporate venturing units in June, according to research by Global Corporate Venturing.

The in-house venture capital divisions of companies invested in, or exited, more than 20 companies last month, just ahead of healthcare, the second-biggest sector for activity.

In total, corporate venturing units were involved in deals worth more than $2.5bn, according to Global Corporate Venturing research, with the US the most popular destination for activity.
