The Germany-based software company secures the exit after raising its first institutional funding round from Intel Capital and XAnge Private Equity two years ago.

Iptego, a Germany-based software company backed by Intel Capital and France’s main post  office’s corporate venturing unit, sold to Acme Packet, a delivery network company, for about $21m on Thursday.

Iptego was backed by US-based chipmaker Intel’s corporate venturing unit in 2010 in the second closing of its first institutional round. XAnge Private Equity, the corporate venturing unit of France-based mail delivery service La Poste, led the round.

Iptego’s software Palladian provides intelligence for users on any computer networks.
