Siemens has exited internet-of-things cybersecurity technology producer Wurldtech through an acquisition by General Electric.
Industrial product manufacturer General Electric has agreed to acquire Canada-based cybersecurity technology developer Wurldtech in a deal that will allow competitor Siemens to exit.
Wurldtech’s software helps industrial internet companies to locate vulnerabilities in products and infrastructure. The company will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary, producing cybersecurity systems for GE products while also serving external customers.
