WndrCo contributed to a series A round for Wrapbook, the creator of a mobile platform that can handle payment for film crews.

US-based payment platform developer Wrapbook secured $27m in series A funding yesterday from a consortium including consumer technology holding company WndrCo.

Venture capital firms Andreessen Horowitz, Equal Ventures and Uncork Capital also participated in the round, alongside angel investor Michael Ovitz.

Wrapbook has created a mobile application that manages the payment of film production crews in addition to employee onboarding, timecards, payroll and insurance. It said the amount of payments the platform has processed has increased sevenfold in the past…
