The second-hand fashion marketplace has attracted $27m from a consortium including Hubert Burda Media, and plans to now expand into new markets.

Lithuania-based peer-to-peer fashion marketplace Vinted secured $27m on Wednesday in a series C round co-led by media conglomerate Hubert Burda Media and venture capital firms Accel Partners and Insight Venture Partners.

Founded in 2008, Vinted operates a website and smartphone app through which users can sell, swap and buy clothes and other fashion accessories.
