Webdata Solutions, a spin-out of Leipzig University, has secured €4m ($4.5m) for its retail intelligence software.

The round was led by VC Seventure Partners, IT recruiter Senovo, B-to-V Partners, and Technologiegruenderfonds Sachsen.

The company, founded in 2012 and based in Germany, has developed a retail intelligence big data platform called Blackbee.
