SATT Aquitaine has signed up INRAE and its tech transfer arm for a five-year agreement to help commercialise its research.

INRAE, the French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and the Environment, together with its tech transfer office INRAE Transfert have signed a five-year partnership agreement with regional tech transfer organisation SATT Aquitaine. The agreement defines the terms of the support that SATT Aquitaine will offer to the INRAE Nouvelle-Aquitaine Bordeaux centre. The centre focuses on plant sciences, ecology and environment, humanities and social sciences, neurosciences and nutrition. The three partners will share responsibilities to identify promising technologies and funding their proof of concept studies, moving the research towards spinouts. They will also work to provide training and awareness-raising campaigns, focused around several core areas: industrial and market requirements, intellectual property, commercialisation and support systems available.
