Ten businesses will receive $52,000 in grant funding for participating in a Francis Crick-operated accelerator for data science-powered biomedical interfaces.
Francis Crick Institute launched an accelerator called KQ Labs with £400,000 ($520,000) from British government-owned research funding agency Innovate UK on Tuesday.
KQ Labs will be operated by and from Francis Crick Institute, providing a $52,000 grant to each of ten participants in order help the startups validate their technologies and unlock further investment.
The program will initially focus on digital health applications in biomedical spaces including drug discovery, genomics, patient stratification and imaging analysis.
