Sberbank backs Troika Dialog's corporate venturing unit shortly after the merger of the two Russia-based financial institutions.
Russia-based financial company Sberbank has reportedly invested $100m in a planned $500m fund raised by Troika Ventures, the corporate venturing unit of Russia-based bank Troika Dialog.
The investment by Sberbank follows the merger of Sberbank and Troika Dialog. The fund will be targeting growth stage investment s in start-ups in Russia and globally, news provider Alt Assets said in February, in an article linked to by Troika Dialog’s website.
