NTT Docomo Ventures took part in a $12.4m round that will help the emotion recognition platform developer to expand into additional verticals outside marketing.
UK-based facial recognition technology developer Realeyes has collected $12.4m in a funding round co-led by NTT Docomo Ventures, an investment vehicle for mobile network operator NTT Docomo.
Venture capital firm Draper Esprit co-led the round, which also featured Global Brain, Karma Ventures and The Entrepreneurs Fund.
Founded in 2007, Realeyes has developed software that leverages computer vision and machine learning technology to help brands leverage webcams and smartphone cameras to measure the emotional response of sample audiences to online content.
