Selina Troesch, principal at Intuit Ventures, is one of our top 50 Emerging Leaders in corporate venturing for 2026.

One of the highlights of Selina Troesch’s year has been the culmination of an investment she fostered for more than two years. She met the entrepreneur while they were raising a series A, which was too early for Intuit to invest. But she maintained communication and stayed closely engaged. By building the strategic case internally, she helped position the startup as a strong fit for investment when it later raised a series B.
She has also been diligent in expanding the awareness and influence of the ventures team at the corporate level. Sharing valuable insights developed through her years of experience has led to a monthly meeting between a C-suite executive on the consumer side of the business and the ventures group. It has helped promote awareness that alignment with the ventures team can help individual business units achieve their goals.
One of the most rewarding aspects of her role at Intuit Ventures, which she came to in 2022 after eight years with Touchdown Ventures, is engaging with passionate entrepreneurs and being able to think strategically about how their solutions integrate with the needs that the US software company’s customers are facing.
“If your goal is to harness strategic thinking and problem solving, while building relationships across the business and with startups, then CVC can be very rewarding”
Troesch’s advice to those entering CVC is to be honest about the reason they are interested in corporate venturing. Because deal velocity in CVC can be much slower than in a traditional VC, and the role is highly specific based on the parent company. For those who are most excited by rapid deal execution, CVC may not be the right fit. But if the goal is to harness strategic thinking and problem solving, while building relationships across the business and with startups, then CVC can be very rewarding.
The team of three at Intuit Ventures focuses on series B investments. It has 15 portfolio companies and makes between four and eight investments a year from a $50m budget.

The Emerging Leaders are mid-career corporate venture professionals who are making an outstanding contribution to their teams and the industry.
