Technology publisher O’Reilly Media’s corporate venturing unit has joined the consortium providing $2.5m to Fidelis College, a US-based placement company with an accredited transfer college for helping military personnel go to university or work at a corporation.
Alongside O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures in Fidelis’ series A round are venture capital firm Accel Partners, Novak Biddle and Ulu Ventures and angel investors.
Fidelis was started by Gunnar Counselman, a former captain in the Human Intelligence Officer unit at US Marine Corps, which has as its motto Semper Fidelis – Latin for "Always Faithful".
