Signal information crowd-sourcing company OpenSignal has received $1.3m in seed funding from O'Reilly Alpha Tech Ventures, Passion Capital and Qualcomm Ventures for its signal-strength map app
O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures have funded the $1.3m seed funding. OpenSignal crowd-sources signal information to create online maps which shows users reliable areas of signal for their mobile network.
The US-based corporate venturing fund of publishing company O’Reilly Media and the US based corporate venturing unit of technology group Qualcomm were joined by venture firm Passion Capital in the round.
The funds will be used to further develop and continue to build mobile phone coverage maps. OpenSignal also…
