The Goldman Sachs-backed data provider snaps up another data company.
Goldman Sachs-backed securities data group Markit acquired Data Explorers, a data company which tracks loans of securities, on Monday.
Data Explorers was backed by private equity firm Bowmark. Markit is also backed by private equity firm General Atlantic.
Bowmark Capital has sold Data Explorers, a provider of global securities lending data, to Markit, a UK-based financial information group whose shareholders include General Atlantic and Goldman Sachs.
